Simon POULENC

Biography

Trained in ESSEC and CPA, Simon started in banking and then community services, years during which he supported numerous export financing projects, particularly in Europe and South East Asia.
He joined Toulouse and the Airbus Group in 1993, first at ATR in sales financing then in asset management and leasing. He took part in discussions of the ATR Cargo and Airjet regional jet programs and associated industrial partnerships.
Joining Airbus in 2001, he integrated the Group’s center of competence for financing all types of assets sold or used by Airbus. In this context, he had the opportunity to design and structure numerous financing solutions (in debt and / or capital) for airlines but also for industrial purposes such as factories or supply chains, or to make use of national or European public funding.
In 2008 he promoted and set up a private equity fund to strengthen the equity of aeronautical suppliers and joined the management team for the duration of the fund’s investment.
Back at Airbus, he resumed his financing activities, notably for the industrial establishment of Airbus in the USA, then for Space and Defense activities (mission aircraft).
Positive Aviation offered him a unique entrepreneurial opportunity to use his financial experience and his network at the service of a project reconciling the common good with the creation of value and financial profitability.
